On December 18, 2013 I was leisurely participating in the weekly #expediachat on Twitter; the topic was the South Pacific. The conversation turned to ice cream after @sweetmatcha posted a photo of a kiwifruit ice cream in Taraunga, New Zealand.

Ice cream has always been my vice and guilty pleasure. Nearly every culture has some form of ice cream, and it’s the thing I search for with the most excitement during my travels.

I tweeted “I’d be an ice cream blogger if I weren’t lactose intolerant”.

Wait. Why can’t I be an ice cream blogger? Sharing the ice cream I discover all over the world with other ice cream lovers? Dream come true!

And thus, this new part of Zaagi began.
